Girls on the Rise

Girls on the Rise is on a mission to support the progress of women and girls across our state and the globe.

GOTR hopes to create an equitable world where girls and young women become bold, fearless, and confident. Through our multigenerational mentorship program, our participants learn about professional development that gives them the self-efficacy necessary to achieve their highest goals and aspirations.

Regardless of race, culture, and economic dividers, the program is intentionally set to bring young women together collectively. By doing so, our participants learn to lift each other as they climb while making positive changes in the world, one girl at a time.

About the Program

The KD Hall Foundation has implemented an innovative, strength-based, and restorative Girls on the Rise (GOTR) leadership program for girls and young women ages 11-18 throughout the state of Washington, focusing on the traditionally marginalized South King County communities.

In 2023, our Girls on the Rise program grew from a statewide event to a year-long international series of professional development and leadership classes.

KD Hall Foundation proudly announces the launch of the 4th annual Girls on the Rise Leadership Program. Crafted with passion and insight by the esteemed 2018 and 2019 cohorts of College Ambassadors, this transformative initiative aims to empower and inspire young girls in advocacy, education, and leadership

This year, we are recruiting girls aged 13-18 to join this inclusive and enriching 3-month program from March through June. More than just a program, this opportunity is a gateway to a life-changing experience, allowing participants to cultivate and develop their leadership prowess.
